Riverfest Fireworks - Cincinnati- Labour Day

Riverfest, held in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio, is one of the largest displays of fireworks in the nation. Phili may have the largest Fourth of July celebration, but Cincinnati steals the show on Labour Day weekend. Riverfest is held every Labour day along the banks of the ohio River. Locals and visitors pack into the downtown area for one last celebration before fall officially arrives. The winters are cold in Cincinnati. Riverfest is celebrated as a last hoorah before the cold weather and long nights set in. The city says goodbye to summer with a bang and does it in grand style.

The fireworks show is the grand finale of Riverfest. It is held on the Sunday night before Labor day and usually begins about 9:05pm. Fireworks are shot off of the bridge spanning the Ohio River. The fireworks are impressive and it is hard to find a bad seat. Boats crowd the Ohio River for miles along both side of the bridge with barely any water visible between them. Many arrive as early as a week before Riverfest to reserve their spot.

Camping-Boating-trail --Cincinnati

One of the place which i enjoy is the John Bryan Park. its the most scenic state park in western Ohio. The park contains a remarkable limestone gorge cut by the Little Miami River which is designated as a state and national scenic river. A portion of the gorge itself is designated as a national natural landmark.
Much of the history of John Bryan State Park is "written in the rocks" of the Little Miami River gorge. Entering the area at Clifton, at 980 feet above sea level, the Little Miami drops 130 feet through layer upon layer of bedrock. Each layer has a story to tell of times when the area was covered by warm, shallow seas or was a part of a muddy river delta or was scoured by tons of slow-moving glacial ice. Each layer has its own characteristics as well. Some of the shale layers are easily worn away by the forces of erosion, causing undercutting in the cliff face. The more erosion-resistant dolomite or limestone rocks above are weakened by this undercutting and large "slump blocks" fall away, creating unusual rock formations including Steamboat Rock. Springs feeding small waterfalls and cascades are common.

Neil Armstrong Space Museum

The one place which I recommend everyone to go & have a look is Neil Armstrong Space Museum.Named in honor of Neil Armstrong, first man to set foot on the moon, this museum in Wapakoneta chronicles Ohio's contributions to the history of space flight.
Among the items on display are a F5D Sky Lancer, the Gemini VIII spacecraft, Apollo 11 artifacts and a moon rock. In the museum's Astro-theater, multimedia presentations of the sights and sounds of space unfold against a starry background.
Well lot of people assume it to be similar to U.S Air Force Museum, Dayton, but its altogether different from it, its all about space flights.
